This time, Pearl Jam is going back to their old sound. It's like the Ten/Versus/Vitalogy era again. Scorching sound (like the first 3 tracks and Big Wave) reminded me of my college days. Radio-friendly songs are also present (Marker in the Sand, Parachutes and Come Back). Socially-aware tracks like World Wide Suicide and Unemployable are proofs that politically charged songs are not boring.

Nu metal kids may not appreciate this album but old fans alienated by Pearl Jam's deviation/experimentations will definitely like Avocado. And hey, buy the original, it's worth it!
